Stephen Binley Station Manager & Host of The Morning Show Stephen and his wife Cathy have been married for 28 years and have two grown sons (Stephen Jr. and Jeremy) and currently live in Charlton. Both Stephen and Cathy have lived in the Central Massachusetts area all their lives. Stephen attended David Prouty Regional High School, in Spencer, MA, graduating in 1975. He then attended Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner and graduated in 1977 receiving an Associate’s degree in Public Communications. He began his broadcasting career at (then) WSMW, Channel 27 in Worcester, MA in 1976. After working there a year and half he was hired by (then) WXNE, Channel 25 in Boston (now Fox 25) - a brand new Christian television station started by the Christian Broadcasting Network. Stephen spent twenty one and a half years at Channel 25 working in the production and promotions departments. Approximately twelve years ago God gave Stephen a vision and desire to be involved in putting a Christian music radio station on the air in Worcester county. After a number of years of praying and working with a fledgling ministry (Heirwaves, Inc.), God provided the necessary finances to purchase WNEB 1230AM in Worcester in the Fall of 1997. For five and a half years Stephen had been involved with that station as station manager & on-air personality. WNEB was the first radio station to broadcast Christian music full-time in Massachusetts. In 2003, God opened the door for the ministry to purchase 90.1 FM in Charlton, MA. They began broadcasting on Wednesday, July 23rd at 7AM in FM stereo. Stephen Binley is currently Station Manger and Morning Show host at 90.1FM, WYCM, as well as President of Christian Mix Radio, Inc. (formerly Heirwaves, Inc.). |
