1 Peter 2:18-25 After listening to the lamenting of a young
friend, I was reminded of 1 Peter 2:18-25. He was experiencing a
sense of worthlessnes and felt that he was suffering for no just
reason. It was important to me to let him know that his suffering
has not gone unnoticed. The scripture says that anyone can suffer
for something he did wrong, but it is commendable before God if you
suffer for an unjust cause. (Look at the suffering Jesus went
through for nothing He did wrong, but for what you and I did
wrong). When it comes to a point where nothing makes sense, and
nothing seems to be fair, rely on the Lord. Don't retaliate, but
leave the judging to Him that is just. So, whether you are a child
being treated unfairly, or you are an adult whose boss seems to be
acting unreasonable, or perhaps you're a prisoner for Christ,
remember to worship Him through it all. Remember that your
suffering is commendable before God.
